Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, pulse oximetry, and vision testing
• Prepare patients for examinations by taking history, medications, and allergy information
• Set up and assist with procedures such as nebulizer treatments and injections (immunizations and intramuscular)
• Collect specimens, label samples for testing, including throat, urine, and UA/Clean Catch
• Perform laboratory tests such as blood glucose via glucometer, pregnancy, strep, and urine dipstick/urinalysis
• Manage office duties including stocking supplies and maintaining a clean, organized environment
• Administer medications, perform ear lavage, and room patients for their visits
• Utilize EPIC for charting patient information accurately during each shift

Required Skills

• Experience obtaining vital signs, including height, weight, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Proficiency with specimen collection and labeling for laboratory testing
• Ability to prepare and assist with procedures such as nebulizer treatments and injections
• Competency in administering medications and performing ear lavage
• Experience charting with EPIC or similar electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong knowledge of office duties including stocking supplies and patient rooming

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification is required; registered, phlebotomist, or hemodialysis technician credentials are not acceptable
• Must have at least 6 months of recent MA-C outpatient clinical experience
• Previous travel experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• Experience working in adult and pediatric outpatient settings preferred
• Schedule includes two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week, with weekends required including every Saturday
• Reliable transportation (not public transit) is essential; candidates must be willing to work at the same location each shift
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are preferred, with potential for temporary or permanent placement
