Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients to identify their specific emotional and psychological needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group counseling sessions that address age-related emotional challenges, including grief, loss, and major life adjustments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create tailored care plans that encompass the physical and mental health needs of geriatric residents.
• Educate family members and caregivers on supportive strategies that enhance the emotional well-being and quality of life for seniors.
• Implement and oversee cognitive stimulation programs and interventions designed to maintain cognitive function and mental acuity in older adults.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on providing mental health support to elderly individuals, many of whom are experiencing complex challenges such as transitions into assisted living, bereavement, or the cognitive decline associated with aging. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant experience in geriatric mental health counseling.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training in geriatric mental health, including therapeutic techniques suitable for aging populations.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 65,000 to 95,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with an incentive structure that includes a sign-on bonus.
