APP (NP/PA) Inpatient Cardiology (per-diem)

Job Description The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine is seeking an experienced AGNP or PA to join our collaborative team on a per-diem basis. We operate in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where quality, collegiality, and patient-centered caring come first. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Participate in daily rounds with attending cardiologists; develop and execute daily therapeutic plans. Admissions & Documentation: Write H&Ps and orders for admissions (ED, procedural, outpatient, and transfers); complete daily progress notes. Discharge Planning: Coordinate multidisciplinary discharge planning and author all discharge summaries. Coordination & Communication: Serve as the primary team contact for consult services, nursing, and ancillary staff. Emergency & Clinical Skills: Manage emergency situations collaboratively with nursing and house staff; order/interpret labs, ECGs, and diagnostic testing. Requirements Credentials: Must be a PA or NP with Board Certification in Adult Gerontology Acute Care. Education: Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program. Licensure: Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Massachusetts. Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certification. Soft Skills: Strong emotional intelligence, exceptional clinical assessment skills, and a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications Prior clinical experience with Cardiology patients. Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system.
