This is a unique position seeking a mechanical engineering candidate that can support our Nashville, TN mechanical operations primarily working out of Troy, MI but with occasional travel to our Nashville Office and or Job Sites.Responsibilities:Design and coordinate all mechanical distribution systems meeting project specificationsOccasionally review and oversee layout work performed by un-licensed engineers on staffOccasionally manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) on staffReview, edit and write project specificationsGenerate and/or review production submittals against project specificationsAssist in estimating process for mechanical contractor by attending walk throughs, defining scope, and generating bill of materialsQualifications:Degree in Mechanical EngineeringMust be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in a U.S. state.Candidate must have 2-5 years minimum experience with mechanical contracting company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firmExperience with reviewing, editing and writing project specificationsExperience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specificationsExperience with walk throughs, defining scope and generating bill of materialsSelf-directedCandidate must possess strong communication skillsStrong skills in Revit (or other compatible software) are requiredWorking Place: Troy, MIDepartment: Alivia Group Business Solutions
