Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Quality Assurance Associate - Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This is a lab-based role focused on evaluating product complaint return samples within a GMP-regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting samples, managing inventory, and authoring technical reports. This position requires local candidates only as it is 100% onsite with no opportunity for remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, clean, and evaluate product complaint return samples including taking photos, x-rays, and performing written inspection
- Interface with various company sites and business partners
- Manage complaint return sample inventory including filing, creating transfer documentation, and performing destruction and reconciliation cycles
- Author technical assessment reports
- Transport samples to different buildings across campus
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Associate degree + 2 years experience, High School/GED + 4 years experience)
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or assignments
- Ability to lift boxes and storage containers up to 50lbs
Desired skills:
- Experience in quality assurance or manufacturing in a GMP pharmaceutical or medical device industry
- Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Previous lab experience
Pay range: up to $32.86 per hour
