Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must-Have: Well Babies, post partum moms, and labor and delivery skills Description: The unit handles 45 to 65 births per month and experiences increased activity during the summer months. There are 5 OB Physicians and 1 Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) on staff. The unit does not perform circulating C-sections as the operating room is responsible for that. The registered nurse should be capable of caring for well babies and postpartum mothers. This role requires proficiency in labor and delivery practices. The hospital may cancel shifts up to 4 times during the contract period. The cancellation could be a full shift or any part of a shift, with potential compensation for cancellations. The charting system used is Paragon. The position does not require a BSN. The trauma level is categorized within the acute care setting.
