Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring 2+ years of clinical nursing experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
• Schedule includes weekdays and some weekends
• Epic EMR used for charting; experience preferred but not required
• May be required to float to lower acuity units as needed
• 13-week travel contract

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
• Current BLS and IV certifications required
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or Supervisor; a Charge RN is acceptable as the 2nd reference; no coworker references accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include IV placement and management, medication administration, vital sign monitoring, patient education, care team collaboration, and accurate EMR charting
• Travel experience is a plus; experienced travelers are encouraged to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former facility employees are eligible after a minimum 6-month separation from the facility
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to booking and is limited to 7 days or less for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be completed promptly after booking; candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location or will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet to be completed urgently
• Multiple parking permit options are available for purchase near the facility through CampusParc
