Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused registered nurse to join our trauma & surgical unit and make a difference for our patients and our community.

This unit is very fast paced. Patients on this general/progressive surgical, specialties surgical and trauma care unit include: trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, colorectal, non-trauma emergent surgery, oncology surgical, plastics surgical, GYN surgical & surgical patients requiring BiPaP, tracheostomies, laryngectomies, complex wounds and/or bedside telemetry. We care for patients age 16 and above.

Regions Hospital supports nurses with an individualized orientation including transition to regions hospital practice program which is a nurse residency structured program to support learning, role transition, and retention of nurses. Work schedule: 0.70 day/evening. 8 hour evening shifts during the week; 12 hour day shifts every 3rd weekend.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of science in nursing degree or associate degree in nursing and 1 year of RN experience
• Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an associate degree in nursing
• Licensed as a registered nurse by the state of Minnesota
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers
• Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Preferred qualifications:

• BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire
• One year of acute care RN experience is preferred
