A Brief Overview
This role provides strategic support and operational leadership for key project work within CHOP Foundation.

Positioned as a capacity multiplier, facilitator, and coordination hub for select projects, the PSO enables Foundation leaders to focus on strategy, decisions, and outcomes. Within a defined portfolio, the PSO provides process and project management support, surfaces risks, elevates prioritization needs across competing demands, and manages and optimizes Workfront, Foundation's project management system.

What you will do

• Strategy & Leadership
• Advance the introduction of the PSO aligned to strategic and annual planning priorities
• Coordinate the Strategic and Annual Plan processes with Foundation stakeholders
• Build rapport with Foundation leaders and understand their priorities to translate goals into actionable, well‑sequenced initiatives with clear outcomes, dependencies, and milestones
• Position the PSO as a facilitator and enabler, not a decision‑maker or gatekeeper, reinforcing clarity between authority and accountability
• Process & Project Management
• Oversee management and optimization of the Workfront system, aligning fit and practices with user needs and rolling out new functionality to enhance staff productivity
• Oversee a portfolio of cross‑team, enterprise, and operational initiatives
• Ensure consistent project intake, prioritization, sequencing, and reporting practices within the PSO portfolio
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, dependencies, and resource conflicts; recommend adjustments to scope, timing, or resourcing to protect outcomes
• Provide visibility through concise, decision‑ready reporting used by leaders in active decision‑making forums
• Process Improvement & Standards
• Lead targeted process improvement efforts where friction exists for interconnected functions
• Introduce standards, tools, and templates where it makes sense to improve Foundation practices, prioritizing practical solutions that staff can readily adopt
• People & Team Leadership
• Directly manage and develop a team of five, skilled in process, project, and change management methods
• Set clear expectations, roles, and success measures for the PSO, ensuring consistency of approach while allowing flexibility by initiative
• Foster a culture of partnership, transparency, and continuous improvement within the PSO
• Leverage existing certifications and expertise (e.g., PMP, Prosci, Six Sigma) while guiding consistent application across the team
• Change Management & PSO Acceptance
• Lead change management efforts associated with PSO’s introduction and ongoing maturity
• Build strong relationships with key leaders to ensure PSO is a valuable addition/complement to work, avoiding administrative burden and overlap
• Address resistance and anxiety created by increased visibility, prioritization, and tradeoffs with diplomacy, clarity, and data
• Evaluate effectiveness, including user-feedback gathering, to improve PSO effectiveness and to scale PSO’s project portfolio

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Required

Experience Qualifications

• At least seven (7) years of project management experience Required
• At least three (3) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience Required
• At least nine (9) years of project management experience Preferred
• At least five (5) years of leadership, management or supervisory experience Preferred
• At least five (5) years of related experience in a healthcare, academic, medical center, business development or fundraising environment Preferred

SALARY RANGE:

$117,900.00 - $156,300.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
