Accountant

Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant will use business and accounting skills to maintain and evaluate operational data. Additionally, they will be responsible for agency-level accounting functions, including, but not limited to general accounting, payables & receivables, financial reporting, spend analysis, material & labor variance analysis, billing & invoicing, and forecasting.Key Responsibilities:Financial responsibilities include General Ledgers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing and Invoicing, Revenue Distribution, and Financial Reporting.Ensure all defined work is performed within the timeframes allotted for each functional financial process.Ensure all billing functions including invoicing, revenue distribution, and rating are completed in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure compliance with all accounting and financial policies, practices, procedures, and initiatives at the Plant level.Manage all accounting, bookkeeping, and financial matters.Any other duties as assigned by the manager.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance preferred.Understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).Physical Requirements:Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 10 pounds.Behaviors:Required: Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellPreferred: Team Player: Works well as a member of a groupMotivations:Required: Self-Starter: Inspired to perform without outside helpEducation:Required: Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.Experience:Preferred: 2-3 years: Experience in the moving & storage industry preferred, not required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
