Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist

Demonstrated experience preparing, reviewing, and filing indirect tax returns, including sales and use tax, excise tax, gross receipts tax, and other transaction-based taxes, with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Working knowledge of indirect tax compliance, including monitoring tax law changes, supporting audits, serving as a primary tax contact, and performing corporate tax depreciation calculations.

Proven ability to prepare recurring financial and regulatory reports for banks, lenders, Caterpillar, and other stakeholders, including quarterly bank packages, borrowing base reports, and Dealer Financial Reports (DFRS).

Experience supporting complex financial and Project CFO reporting through reconciliations, schedules, certifications, and detailed analysis.

Strong reconciliation and control experience, ensuring reported balances tie to the general ledger, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and responding to auditor or regulator inquiries.

Advanced analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with strong Excel proficiency, ERP experience, and familiarity with financial reporting tools (e.g., Vena).

Recommended Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in indirect tax, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Experience with audits, regulatory filings, or lender reporting preferred.
• Knowledge of general business and accounting practices
• Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills: both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft platforms.
