Job Summary and Responsibilities You will work under the supervision of licensed anesthesia care physicians and assist the licensed anesthesia physician in the clinical setting. To be successful you will: Demonstrate practical knowledge and expertise in all general areas of anesthesia Maintain the anesthesia environment, equipment, supplies and personnel to facilitate department functions Ensure department compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to anesthesia care Oversee and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies This is a PRN position (5 shifts scheduled in a 6-week period). This position is used to cover call‑offs, vacations, and where coverage may be needed. PRN is not eligible for benefits but does offer a 15% differential on top of the base rate of pay. Job Requirements Qualified Anesthesia Techs will be required to have the following: High School Diploma or GED Previous healthcare related experience Basic computer skills Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association Physical Requirements – Medium Work – (Exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly) Where You'll Work Penrose – St. Francis Health Services is a full‑service, 712‑bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital – Interquest.
