As a Security Officer Access Control in Eden, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic retail location, where you will help manage access points, monitor activity, and support a welcoming experience for visitors and staff. This role blends security-related awareness with strong communication and customer service, offering a visible presence that helps to deter incidents. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $13.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and staff by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in support of security-related operations at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the sales floor, common areas, receiving areas, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Communicate with store leadership and/or Allied Universal personnel regarding unusual activity, policy violations, and access-related concerns to help support daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
