About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Electrical & RF/Wireless Engineering to lead technical teams responsible for the architecture, design, development, integration, and optimization of advanced electronic, RF, wireless, and electromagnetic systems.

The successful candidate will provide both technical and organizational leadership across complex, high-performance hardware and wireless engineering programs. This role combines deep technical expertise with cross-functional management, strategic planning, workforce development, and responsibility for improving engineering processes and technologies.

The position is 100% onsite in Simi Valley, California and follows a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead experienced engineering professionals, supervisors, and managers across electrical, RF, wireless, and related engineering functions.
• Provide technical and cross-functional leadership for complex hardware and wireless engineering programs.
• Architect, design, develop, modify, evaluate, and integrate electronic equipment, components, integrated circuitry, and high-performance hardware systems.
• Lead the analysis, design, implementation, optimization, and enhancement of RF and wireless telecommunications networks.
• Establish design approaches and technical parameters while evaluating electrical requirements, feasibility, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Apply expertise across digital electronics, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, antenna, RF, and control systems.
• Support programmable logic device configuration and related high-level programming activities as required.
• Analyze equipment performance, establish operating data, conduct experimental testing, and evaluate results.
• Select components and equipment based on specifications, reliability, operational characteristics, system performance, and sustainability requirements.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and technical support for engineering development activities.
• Perform wireless network engineering activities, including link budget analysis, system dimensioning, coverage and capacity planning, traffic analysis, frequency planning, and interference analysis.
• Support site identification, evaluation, zoning, coverage planning, and network optimization activities.
• Develop, design, and evaluate specialized algorithms for radar, communications, sonar, geophysical, sensor processing, and related applications.
• Identify root causes of complex technical and operational problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Establish and improve engineering processes, systems, policies, standards, and operating plans.
• Champion new technologies, engineering methodologies, and technical concepts that support business and product objectives.
• Develop workforce and staffing plans to ensure appropriate engineering resources and capabilities.
• Hire, develop, manage, and mentor engineering personnel while supporting performance and professional growth.
• Lead cross-departmental project teams and influence leadership regarding new technical approaches and practices.
• Develop operational plans and tactics that support short- and mid-term engineering and business objectives.
• Manage departmental resources and budgets and support financial and operational planning as required.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and other functional teams to deliver business results.
• Travel domestically or internationally up to approximately 10% as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, Wireless Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's or other graduate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Candidates without a degree may qualify with 16+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive technical experience in electrical engineering, RF/wireless systems, electronic hardware, or related engineering disciplines.
• Specialized expertise in areas such as digital electronics, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, control systems, RF, and antenna systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead experienced engineering professionals, supervisors, managers, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong technical leadership and broad management capabilities across multiple related engineering disciplines.
• Experience architecting, developing, integrating, testing, and optimizing complex electronic or RF systems.
• Knowledge of wireless network engineering, including link budgets, coverage and capacity planning, frequency planning, traffic analysis, and interference optimization.
• Experience with specialized algorithms or signal processing applications for radar, communications, sonar, sensors, or related technologies is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, conceptualization, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical and organizational challenges.
• Experience developing engineering processes, operational plans, technical strategies, and resource plans.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence technical and business leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a complex engineering environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain a future security clearance.
