Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

$1884.96/week - Job Summary: Providing specialized nursing care within a Medical Surgical setting, the RN float will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care across various units as assigned by the nursing supervisor. This role demands adaptability and clinical expertise to meet diverse patient needs. Responsibilities: Administer comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans. Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing acute conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Document patient interactions and clinical interventions accurately in Cerner EMR. Float to assigned units such as Medical, Surgical, Orthopedics, Oncology, Trauma, and Cardiology, adapting to different clinical environments. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, certifications, and safety standards. Qualifications: Hold an active, unencumbered TN or multi-state RN license prior to start date. Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience in a comparable acuity hospital setting. Proficient in Cerner EMR with prior experience using this documentation system. BLS certification required; additional certifications may be preferred. Ability to work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, including every other weekend.
