Maintenance Technician (Pipe Fitter/Fabricator) (Corydon)

Job Purpose: The Pipe Fitter/Fabricator Maintenance Technician is responsible for constructing and fabricating in-house piping systems and structural equipment under the direction of the Day Shift Maintenance Supervisor. This role ensures high-quality fabrication and timely repairs to support plant operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Fit and install piping systems based on prints and self-taken measurements.
- Layout piping and structural components accurately.
- Order piping, fittings, steel, and other materials required for jobs. Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and boom lifts.
- Diagnose and repair broken machines quickly and efficiently.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting work performed and materials used.
- Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked shop areas, including tools and supplies.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Engineer on new product installations and required modifications.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
