The Sponsorship Operations Manager is a key member of the Family Properties team, supporting Mars Sponsorships, Premium Brands, Mars Family Properties, and Mars Equestrian. This position is responsible for facilitating, communicating, managing, and representing over 70 business and family-driven activities across domestic and international Mars Inc. business units. The role requires extensive engagement with Mars Family members, senior leaders, internal associates throughout the Mars/Wrigley and Mars Petcare organizations and external agency partners, and customers.

What are we looking for?

• College degree preferred, High School Diploma required
  
• Proven experience in event planning, execution, and management, with a thorough understanding of industry best practices and the ability to oversee multiple workstreams for successful event delivery.
  
• Minimum of 2 years' experience engaging directly with senior stakeholders, demonstrating sensitivity and professionalism in all interactions.
  
• Demonstrated success in leading key projects through cross-functional teams,
  
• Proven capability to build relationships and influence external agency partners and internal cross-functional teams.
  
• Comfortable interacting with senior management, owners, and high-profile stakeholders
  
• Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling sensitive family information
  
• Proven ability to create, monitor, and manage budgets with accuracy and attention to detail.
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Experience working with senior leaders, global teams, and across business units is highly desirable.
  
• Prior experience with sponsorship management is a plus.
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  
• Exceptional planning abilities and organizational agility
  
• Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule based on needs of the business
  

What would be your key responsibilities?

• Budget Preparation and Monitoring: Help to oversee and monitor departmental budgets in close collaboration with the Commercial team to ensure execution of favorable contract terms and financial discipline.
  
• SAP Fusion Procurement Expertise: Serve as the functional expert for SAP Fusion procurement systems, including platforms such as Ethel M, MY M&Ms, and all other Mars e-commerce sites, ensuring seamless procurement operations.
  
• Purchase Order Management: Take full ownership of the issuance, follow-up, and approval process for all departmental Purchase Orders within the Ariba system, ensuring compliance and timely processing.
  
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain regular, direct interaction with multiple generations of Mars Family members, MLT Members, McLean Executive Team and global customers fostering strong relationships and understanding of their evolving needs.
  
• Sponsorship Initiative Support: Assist in the execution of key initiatives across core sponsorships and Tier II sponsorships, supporting the Family Properties Director to deliver projects within established budgets.
  
• Sponsorship Platform Management: Oversee sponsorship platforms for multiple Tier III sponsorships, ensuring effective coordination and alignment with strategic objectives.
  
• Order Fulfillment Leadership: Manage the end-to-end process for Family purchase orders, primarily confectionery products, while collaborating closely with other Mars business units to fulfill cross-unit product requests.
  
• Order Lifecycle Ownership: Ensure comprehensive management of all family orders from receipt through delivery, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and timely fulfillment.
  
• Issue Resolution & Communication: Own order tracking and proactively resolve issues from origin to delivery, providing timely updates to customer teams regarding product availability and shortages, and leveraging all available resources to mitigate disruptions.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range listed is applicable to IL:USD 37.66 - USD 51.78
