Avionics Technician (GSO)

The Avionics Technician will perform operational checks, troubleshoot, and repair avionics and electrical systems, as well as carry out avionics modifications on a variety of Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The role involves conducting heavy maintenance, specifically C & D Checks, and overhauls.

• Perform operational checks on avionics and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems.
• Execute avionics modifications on Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
• Conduct heavy maintenance, including C & D Checks and overhauls.

• At least 2 years of experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting in an MRO environment.
• Experience with Boeing Aircraft (B737, B757, B767, B777, B747) and Airbus (A319, A320, A321) is highly desirable.
• Extensive Depot Level or Phase Level Military experience with C-17, C-130, KC-135, KC-10 may be considered.

• Proficiency in avionics modification, troubleshooting, and installation.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi systems in aircraft.

The role is based in a large Heavy Maintenance / MRO Facility with multiple hangars. Candidates must have steel toe shoes and their own tools. Flexibility to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts and availability for some weekends is required. Shift hours are as follows: 1st shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 2nd shift 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, 3rd Shift 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

This is a Contract position based out of Greensboro, NC.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
