Overview
Registered Nurse – ER, in Hilo, Hawaii. This travel assignment begins 07/20/2026 for an approximately 15-week period in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $1,814 to $1,929, with 0 guaranteed hours. Shift is Nights, three 12-hour shifts (3x12). The ER department is a 28-bed unit with 4 trauma bays, 2 behavioral health rooms, and 22 cardiac monitor rooms. Orientation occurs in the first week, and the candidate must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete an employee health appointment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients in the ER, across a fast-paced, high-turnover environment.
- Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity; administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient response.
- Observe and interpret vital signs and cardiac monitor data; recognize and respond to deteriorating conditions promptly.
- Collaborate with physicians, technicians, social work and behavioral health staff to coordinate rapid evaluation and disposition.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record; communicate changes to the care team.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and trauma activation protocols; assist with rapid interventions and patient stabilization as needed.

Requirements
- Active Hawaii registered nurse license by start date
- Eligibility to fulfill Hawaii licensure requirements and comply with pre-employment processes
- Ability to work Nights: 3x12-hour shifts
- ER nursing environment readiness; ability to work in a 28-bed ER with trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring
- Must arrive the Thursday before start date to complete employee health appointment and orientation
- Previous ER nursing experience preferred or indicated by Job Notes
