Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder (2G, 3G, or 6G) to perform advanced welding and fabrication tasks. This role involves fitting, welding, and repairing metal components using various techniques while ensuring precision, structural integrity, and quality standards.

You will work from shop orders, blueprints, and specifications to prepare materials, assemble components, and complete welds to exact requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Select appropriate welding parameters based on Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

• Fit, tack, and weld components in proper positions

• Perform welds according to 2G, 3G, or 6G configurations

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions

• Set up and secure parts using fixtures, clamps, and layout tools

• Ensure weld quality, including size, continuity, and appearance standards

• Inspect and verify work to meet dimensional and structural requirements

• Maintain ownership of all completed weld quality

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding

• Experience with structural welding (steel and aluminum)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

• Strong understanding of welding techniques and positions (2G/3G/6G)

• Solid work ethic, reliable attendance, and positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with shop orders and fabrication environments

• Ability to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures

• Prior experience in heavy equipment, manufacturing, or vehicle fabrication is a plus

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

• Optional Overtime: Fridays available

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
