Job Title: Welder / Fabricator

Job Description

This role combines high-level welding expertise with full-cycle fabrication. You will take products from raw material to finished piece, including cutting, measuring, inspecting, and welding components. The position is ideal for a skilled welder who enjoys working independently in a machine shop environment and owning the entire build process.

Responsibilities

• Take assigned products from initial concept to finished, ready-to-use components.
• Cut down raw material to specified dimensions using appropriate shop equipment.
• Accurately measure materials and assemblies to meet blueprint specifications and tolerances.
• Interpret and work from blueprints and fabrication drawings to plan and execute builds.
• Perform high-level MIG, TIG, and wire feed welding on a variety of materials.
• Fit, assemble, and weld parts together to create complete fabricated products.
• Inspect work throughout the fabrication and welding process to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain attention to detail in all cutting, measuring, fitting, and welding tasks.
• Use fabrication tools, manual mills, lathes, and other shop equipment as needed to complete projects.
• Collaborate with other skilled tradespeople in the shop while working with minimal supervision.
• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Strong fabrication skills with the ability to take a product from raw material to finished assembly.
• High-level MIG welding experience.
• High-level TIG welding experience.
• Proficiency with wire feed welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Demonstrated attention to detail in measuring, cutting, fitting, and welding.
• Minimum of 5 years of relatable welding and fabrication experience (preferred).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical schooling in welding, fabrication, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Experience working in a machine shop environment.
• Comfort working with manual mills, lathes, and other shop machinery.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to determine the best approach to complete tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of La Crosse, WI.

The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $58240.00/yr.

Advancement opportunities. Will be cross trained.

This is a fully onsite position in La Crosse,WI.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 24, 2026.
