Yorkshire Academy is a private school in the Memorial area of Houston, Texas, building a solid academic foundation for children from 18 months through 5th grade. We cultivate character, citizenship, and academic curiosity through personalized instruction and small class sizes. Yorkshire Academy highlights academics as well as promotes a highly sought after enrichment program including Art, Music, Spanish, PE, Computer, & Social Emotional Learning.We are looking for a passionate person qualified in Marketing and Communications to join our collaborative team for the 2026-2027 school year, to help spread Yorkshire Academy's story. The purpose of this role is to own lead generation, brand positioning, and exhibit external visibility to fuel the enrollment pipeline and tell the authentic Yorkshire story to families, community, and the world. Position Summary Marketing & Communications is responsible for promoting Yorkshire Academy's mission, programs, and community through engaging communications and strategic marketing efforts. This position creates compelling content, manages the school's print and digital presence, supports enrollment and retention initiatives, and celebrates the daily life of the school through storytelling. The individual will work collaboratively with the Admissions department as well as with faculty, staff, students, and families to ensure consistent messaging and strengthen the school's brand. Core Responsibilities Lead Generation Engine Brand Strategy & Positioning Digital Presence & Reputation Management Admissions Support Data & Performance Tracking Internal Collaboration Parent / Community Engagement & PR Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred. Two or more years of experience in marketing, communications, or social media management preferred, but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Photography and basic videography experience. Proficiency with Canva and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. Experience with social media platforms, email marketing, and website content management systems, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. Design and oversee print advertisements that effectively promote the school's programs and events and maintain relationships with local publications and media partners. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for school events. Preferred Skills Graphic design experience. Basic video editing. Knowledge of photography composition and editing. Experience working in a school or nonprofit environment. Familiarity with enrollment marketing strategies. Creative storytelling and content creation.
