Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team in Grand Junction. This full-time, on-site position within the Hospital and Health Care industry offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through rehabilitation, recovery, and improved mobility. This role is also eligible for a sign-on bonus.
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of musculoskeletal, neurological, and functional impairments. You will develop individualized treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises and techniques, and track progress to ensure optimal outcomes. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
We offer a competitive hourly pay range of $41 - $46 USD, along with a sign-on bonus and opportunities for professional development within a supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical condition, mobility, and functional abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and rehabilitation techniques
- Educate patients and families on injury prevention and home exercise programs
- Document patient assessments, treatment progress, and outcomes accurately
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient response and recovery goals
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Recommend assistive devices and adaptive equipment when appropriate
- Support patient discharge planning and continuity of care
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation
- Proficiency in patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare setting
- Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records
- Commitment to patient safety, empathy, and quality care
- Preferred: Certification in a specialty area such as orthopedics or sports rehabilitation
- Preferred: Prior experience in an outpatient or hospital-based therapy setting
