In this role, you will:

• Assess and evaluate patients in either inpatient or outpatient contexts, crafting personalized treatment strategies to meet their unique needs.
• Implement physical therapy interventions that enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional ability.
• Work in conjunction with nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation specialists to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapeutic objectives, discharge processes, and home exercise regimens.
• Document all evaluations, treatments, and progression meticulously, adhering to facility policies and regulatory standards.
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to maintain coordinated care practices.

Education Requirements

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or its equivalent from an accredited institution is essential.

Certifications Needed

A valid state license as a DPT is mandatory. CPR certification is preferred. Additional specialized certifications (e.g., in neurology or geriatrics) are beneficial but not essential.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience is highly favored. Proficient in managing patients with intricate medical conditions and mobility challenges. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are essential. Competence in digital charting and clinical documentation systems is required.
