Respiratory Therapist

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center is a 336-bed facility that is part of the seven-hospital Valley Health System serving Northwest Las Vegas community. Job Description: Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in non-critical care areas. May provide care in Adult Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit under the guidance and support of a Respiratory Therapist II or higher. Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation and/or training.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Technical Skills: Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department, and provide the care/service as described in the department policies and procedures.
• License/Certification: Certification Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care. Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. State of Nevada. Blood Gas Technologist. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association and ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
