Job Summary Plan and coordinate the assigned department’s capital projects to ensure they are completed in accordance with unit standards, contract specifications, and schedules. Direct and coordinate the engineering, design, and construction or alteration of existing structures. Lead logistics and access plans for low‑complexity construction projects and maintain accurate construction records within a project management system. Manage the unit’s lifecycle replacement plan for flooring, paint, and lighting. Collaborate with unit leadership to advance the unit master plan. Responsibilities Participate in planning exercises for assigned units’ capital investment projects and provide assessments for the Major Rehabilitation and Repair (MRR) program. Compile and maintain project schedules and milestones from concept through final punch completion. Track and communicate project updates and impacts. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, Institute partners, unit leaders, and stakeholders in project execution. Develop Scope of Work (SOW), conduct pre‑construction meetings, review estimates/proposals, finalize quotes, and issue purchase orders. Review all project elements to ensure alignment with objectives and provide supervision and compliance monitoring. Conduct periodic inspections of construction projects to ensure work meets standards and contract requirements; report contractor performance. Coordinate with units and Institute partners for projects involving IT, furniture, fixtures, equipment (FFE) moves, office relocations, and utility shutdowns. Assist EH&S personnel with room inspections and coordinate repairs and remediation work. Oversee the unit’s lifecycle replacement schedule for flooring, paint, and lighting. Perform other related job duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience: 4–6 years of job‑related experience, ability to read construction drawings, mechanical systems, project manuals and submittals, manage multiple concurrent projects, and schedule projects. Other Required Qualifications: Ability to be on call and work after hours and on weekends. Preferred Qualifications Experience with RFPs and RFQs, contract management, writing Statements of Work, LEED Program, and sustainability programs. Proposed Salary Pay Range $66,883–$77,086 per year. Abilities Physical activity such as walking, climbing stairs, lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in construction environments. Experience may involve outdoor work. Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, organization, communication, time management, project management, presentation, customer service, phone, and e‑mail etiquette; keen attention to detail and follow‑up skills.
