Biomedical Equipment Tech II

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you will be a crucial technical specialist, ensuring the safe, functional, and reliable operation of vital medical equipment. Responsibilities Inspect, calibrate, and perform preventive maintenance on biomedical devices. Diagnose and repair equipment to maintain functionality and safety. Maintain accurate service records and documentation. Provide technical support to clinical staff, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment. Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field; or equivalent military education; or graduate of technical program. Valid Nevada Driver’s License. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Preferred Qualifications Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician.
