Workday Payroll Specialist

Charlotte, NC - Hybrid Are you a Payroll Tax professional with strong Workday experience and a passion for accuracy, compliance, and process improvement? This could be your next opportunity! We’re looking for a Senior Payroll Tax Specialist to take ownership of payroll tax compliance, reconciliations, reporting, and year-end activities across multiple jurisdictions. What You’ll Do Manage and review Workday Payroll Tax setup across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions. Monitor federal, state, and local payroll tax legislation and implement required updates. Manage tax registrations, jurisdiction changes, and SUI rate updates . Reconcile payroll tax liabilities with G/L accounts, filings, and remittances . Review monthly and quarterly payroll tax filing packages . Research and resolve multi-state payroll tax notices . Lead/support W-2, W-2c, and year-end payroll tax activities . Support internal and external audits and tax provisions . Identify compliance risks and drive issues through resolution. Partner with Payroll, Accounting, HRIT, and other stakeholders to improve processes and system accuracy. Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and strengthen controls. What We’re Looking For Hands-on payroll tax experience with Workday - REQUIRED Strong experience with multi-state payroll tax compliance Knowledge of payroll tax filings, remittances, reconciliations, and tax notices Experience with W-2/W-2c and year-end processing Strong understanding of payroll accounting and G/L reconciliation Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams Why This Opportunity?
