If you’re an experienced Pre-Op RN who enjoys taking the lead, keeping things moving, and working in a more structured surgical environment, this could be a great next step.

This is a Day Surgery Charge RN opportunity in Tamarac with a Monday–Friday schedule, no weekends, and 10-hour day shifts. You’ll help oversee the day-to-day operation of the department while staying involved clinically and serving as a resource for the nursing team.

If you like leadership but aren't looking to completely step away from patient care, this role gives you a nice balance of both.

What You'll Be Doing

As the Charge RN, you'll help keep the Day Surgery department running smoothly from start to finish.

You'll:

• Coordinate nursing activities during your shift
• Help manage patient admissions and discharges
• Keep patient flow and throughput moving efficiently
• Serve as a resource and support system for the nursing staff
• Help with staff scheduling and daily staffing needs
• Assist with training, onboarding, and development of team members
• Help address staff concerns and resolve issues when they arise
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor patient care and help maintain high clinical standards
• Assist with supplies, equipment, and inventory
• Step in when needed to support the team clinically

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with a strong Pre-Op background who is ready to take on more responsibility.

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• 3–5 years of recent Pre-Op RN experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
• BLS required
• ACLS required within 30 days of starting
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable coordinating staff and managing the flow of a busy surgical department
