Temporary Certified Payroll Specialist

CV Resources is partnering with a well-established local mechanical contractor to add a Temporary Certified Payroll Specialist to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience, particularly in certified and union payroll , to step into a high-volume environment.

Position: Certified Payroll Specialist
Location: Meridian, ID | 100% Onsite
Pay: $30–$35/hour DOE
Employment Type: Temporary, with potential for temp-to-hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start: ASAP

What You'll Do

• Process weekly payroll for approximately 800 employees
• Manage certified payroll for approximately 500–600 employees
• Process union payroll and ensure compliance with applicable requirements
• Handle payroll tax calculations and garnishments
• Review payroll for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Support certified payroll reporting and documentation
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure deadlines are consistently met
• Partner with the payroll team to keep a high-volume payroll operation running smoothly

What We're Looking For

• Previous high-volume payroll experience
• Strong certified payroll experience
• Union payroll experience
• Experience with payroll taxes and garnishments
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Construction or mechanical contracting experience is a plus
• Experience with Elation and/or Miter is preferred
