Senior Data and Information Architect

Job Description Summary Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level. Responsible for multiple software projects as a project leader or internal consultant; support highly complex software projects that require in-depth domain knowledge or specialized architecture areas. Participate in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction. Participate in the Data Governance Council. Participate in development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses. Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities. Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization. Remote Position 100% remote position reporting to GE Vernova International LLC in Schenectady, NY. Candidate may live anywhere in the continental United States. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or related field. Four (4) years of experience in software architecture design and development. Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, and GCP. Proficiency with SQL to develop and maintain data models, and to optimize data pipelines. Experience with data modeling techniques and data warehousing to create and manage data architectures. Implementing data governance frameworks and ensuring data quality and integrity across the data landscape. Optimizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes for performance and efficiency. Legally authorized to work in the United States (for this opening). Subject to a drug screen test (as applicable). Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $111,363–$164,200 annually (US‑based positions only). Pay may vary based on experience, education, and location. Eligible for 10% variable incentive compensation.
