Job Title and Location Registered Nurse (RN) Quality Coordinator – Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ Position Summary The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting hospital-wide quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. This role collaborates with nursing leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to monitor clinical outcomes, analyze quality data, ensure adherence to evidence-based standards, and promote continuous improvement in patient care delivery. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) License in New Jersey (or an approved Compact License) is required. An Associate’s Degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred. A minimum of five (5) years of acute care nursing experience. History of quality improvement, quality management, or standards experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). CPHQ Certification is preferred. Experience with Viso and Vizient is a plus. Skill in team facilitation, RCA, and FMEA preferred. Scheduling Requirements Full-Time Day Shift Monday‑Friday Position Essential Functions Coordinate, implement and participate in the evaluation of ongoing, functionally integrated, and systematic hospital-wide performance improvement activities. Coordinate subcommittees of the Performance Improvement Committee. Serve as a learning coach for participants. Identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate resolution of issues. Assist the Director in implementing hospital-wide programs to ensure compliance with standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies.
