Veterinary Technician

Overview Community Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Technician. Role: Veterinary Technician. Status: Full-time. Schedule: 40 hours a week and every other weekend, or the needs of the practice. Salary: Negotiable and based on experience. Responsibilities Assist the Veterinarian with routine patient appointments and surgical procedures Collect and prepare laboratory samples for in-house and offsite testing Assist with radiographs and ultrasounds under the guidance of the attending Veterinarian Set up, monitor and assist in dental/surgical procedures Prepare and assist in surgeries, including catheter placement, blood draws, anesthesia monitoring Ensure all surgical equipment is properly sterilized and stored Prepare appointment rooms prior to scheduled patient visits, provide detailed medical notes following visit Answering phones Qualifications & Requirements Applicant needs to be self-motivated, hard-working, and energetic for a busy day practice. We are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with clients, is a great team member, has good phone presence, and knowledge of EzyVet veterinary software is a plus, but training will be provided if applicant is not familiar with this program.
