The Newark, CA plant is currently accepting resumes for a Safety Coordinator. Your job as a Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting human resources functions while promoting and maintaining a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and workplace safety standards. Training administration including recordkeeping and conducting in-person training. Engages, implements, and effectively communicates with plant employees and leadership on best practices as it pertains to HR and Safety. Conducting regular plant audits and providing communication to the staff about action items. Prepares and maintains a variety of routine to moderately complex reports for management. Eventually will take on Environmental tasks. Assist in HR functions, as needed. Assist in coordinating special events. Attends training and educational seminars as appropriate to learn regulatory requirements. Visibly demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and the safety of all employees and contractors. Abide by all safety rules set forth by company and government regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected. All other special projects or tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications: College Degree; and Two (2) or more years related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experiences. PHR Certification preferred.

This is a full-time onsite position. Typically, Monday – Friday; although there may be the occasional need for weekend work. The working day is expected to be 7 AM – 4 PM or 8 AM – 5 PM.
