Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder and fabricator proficient in welding and fabricating various metals, primarily mild steel, and TIG stainless steel. The role requires expertise in reading blueprints and schematics, layout marking, and working with sheet metal frameworks, square tubings, fittings, stainless steel, and aluminum. Responsibilities include adjusting and operating a Miller MIG welder, welding frames, and performing adjustments as necessary. The position also involves grinding, assembly, and the use of hand and power tools around the shop.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabricating tasks using MIG and TIG techniques on various materials including mild steel and stainless steel.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately for layout and fitting purposes.
• Adjust and operate a Miller MIG welder for welding and frame adjustments.
• Conduct fabrication tasks such as cutting and trimming raw materials.
• Utilize hand and power tools for grinding and assembly tasks as needed.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe and clean working environment.

• 1-2 years of welding experience, specifically MIG welding on mild steel.
• 1-2 years of experience working in a shop or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Skilled in TIG welding, particularly with stainless steel.

• Experience in fitting and layout marking.
• Ability to work with various metals including aluminum and stainless steel.
• Experience in grinding and assembly tasks.

Work Environment

The position is based in a shop/manufacturing environment with large open doors, making it cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Expect a dirty and dusty setting. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with some overtime as needed. During peak seasons, shifts may extend to 10-hour days from 5:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ripon, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Ripon,CA.
