Legal Assistant - Family LawA well-established family law practice in Harrisburg is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling a broad range of domestic relations matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, court familiarity, and the ability to manage sensitive casework with professionalism and care.What You'll Do:Support attorneys in family law matters including divorce, equitable distribution, alimony, child custody, and adoptionAssist with mediations, depositions, and settlement conferencesPrepare for trials and appeals, including organizing documentation and exhibitsFile court documents and manage deadlines, calendars, and docketing updatesWork with Common Pleas Court and Superior Court filings and proceduresCoordinate with Orphan's Court, Prothonotary's Office, and Children & Youth ServicesAssist with welfare proceedings and related family court mattersCommunicate and collaborate with judges' offices and court personnel as neededProvide general administrative and legal support to attorneysMaintain confidentiality and handle sensitive family matters with discretionWhat We're Looking For:5+ years of legal assistant (family law strongly preferred)Strong familiarity with Pennsylvania court systems and proceduresExperience with trial preparation, mediation, and deposition supportHighly organized with strong attention to deadlines and detailAbility to work independently while also being a strong team playerExcellent communication skills and professional demeanorStrong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to ask clarifying questions when neededWhy This Role:This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative family law team where your experience will directly support meaningful and high-impact legal work.Salary commensurate with candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
