Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for a night-shift assignment requiring 1+ years of experience and ARRT MR certification with X-ray cross-training.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment on the MRI Tech unit
• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with set consecutive nights TBD
• No on-call requirements
• Also performs X-ray procedures including extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
• Works in adult acute care and adult outpatient settings, including ER/Trauma
• Performs MRI studies of the abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, and cardiac systems, with and without contrast
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Potential to float between sister facilities within the state

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• ER experience required
• BLS and ARRT MR certification required
• Washington state license required if applicable; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Pending license accepted
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media, radiation safety, isolation precautions/PPE, and starting peripheral IVs
• Must be able to perform MR cardiac imaging with and without contrast

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at time of submission
• Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required
