JOB SUMMARY:

The Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Foreman responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of electric utilities infrastructure systems. This role involves leading and supervising a team of workers to ensure that these systems are safely and efficiently constructed and maintained. This role will be critical in the success of utilities infrastructure projects, ensuring that work is done safely, efficiently, and up to the required standards, while maintaining communication with stakeholders and managing resources effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and lead a team of utility workers to ensure the project is completed safely and accurately.
• Coordinate with project managers to plan and schedule utility installation or maintenance tasks.
• Safely and responsibly excavate and set electrical manholes.
• Trench multi-pipe duct banks in dirt and rock.
• Form and pour transformer pads, switch gear pads, and replace removed concrete.
• Layout of trenches and manholes in rows and easements.
• Communicate regularly with engineers, project managers, and other key personnel to ensure smooth project execution and address any challenges.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and to required standards, addressing any issues that may arise.
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines set by HJD Capital Electric.
• Report daily or weekly progress to the project manager, including any challenges or delays encountered.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered on the job site.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience as a lead or Foreman on utility projects.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and provide clear direction to crews.
• Able to locate existing utilities.
• Capable of locating elevations and shooting grades.
• Must be competent in trench and manhole shoring procedures.
• Experience working outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold).
• Physical capability to carry up to 80 lbs. and perform manual labor.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and initiative to seek additional tasks when needed.
• Must have a safety-first mindset to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Preferred : Valid CDL holder.
