Sr Product Engineer

Senior Product Engineer at Medtronic responsible for released product engineering activities on surgical stapling devices, including design, corrective actions, and product enhancements. The role involves leading technical initiatives from concept through implementation and providing mentorship to junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and champion product engineering initiatives from concept through implementation for surgical stapling devices
• Investigate customer complaints, determine root causes, and develop corrective actions
• Develop and manage testing protocols to verify products meet internal and external requirements
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and sub-project direction to junior engineers
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and analyses for management and stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 2 years experience
• Mechanical design experience for medical devices
• Knowledge of design change control and regulatory standards
• Project management and design control documentation skills
• Experience with testing, FMEA, and failure analysis methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical communication
