WE ARE HIRING!!! Pharmacy Technician / Fulfillment Technician

Near Lake Bluff / Waukegan, IL

Full-Time | Onsite

$25–$27/hr

We are hiring a Pharmacy Technician / Fulfillment Technician to join a collaborative, fast-paced pharmacy team. In this role, you will support pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring accurate prescription processing, fulfillment, and customer support.

• Support pharmacists in accordance with federal, state, and HIPAA regulations
• Accurately enter prescription orders into the pharmacy system
• Contact prescribers to resolve incomplete or incorrect prescription information
• Assist with obtaining verbal orders and missing prescription details
• Manage patient adherence by coordinating medication deliveries
• Update patient profiles (medications, allergies, conditions)
• Triage patient calls to pharmacists or nursing staff when needed
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate with payors and providers
• Handle inbound/outbound calls (30–40 per day) regarding prescriptions and case updates
• Assist with fulfillment tasks: picking, labeling, packing, and shipping orders
• Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain medication stock levels
• Identify and recommend workflow or system improvements
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely service

• Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license
• Certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe); CPhT preferred
• 1+ year of pharmacy experience (retail, specialty, mail order, PBM, or healthcare setting)
• Experience with prescription data entry and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a high-volume, call-driven environment
• Comfortable managing call metrics:
  • 30–40 calls/day
  • 8–9 min average handle time
  • 3–5 min after-call work

• Onsite role in a professional pharmacy setting, within a corporate headquarters
• Team-oriented, supportive culture

• Shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (M-F)

This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.05 - $27.00/hr.
