Senior Insurance Broker, Role Description Harbor.ai is seeking a Senior Insurance Broker with 5+ years of experience to manage a book of commercial clients, lead complex placements, and mentor junior brokers. This role is 100% on-site in Houston, TX. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a commercial insurance broker, with a track record managing a client book. Active P&C license required; additional state/line licensing a plus. Skills and Abilities Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products, including hard-to-place risk. Able to structure coverage across multiple carriers or layers for complex accounts. Strong carrier relationships and negotiation experience. Track record retaining and growing client relationships. Comfortable exercising independent judgment; able to mentor junior staff. Responsibilities Own and grow a book of commercial clients as primary point of contact. Structure and place coverage for complex or non-standard risk, including multi-carrier placements. Advise clients on risk exposure and coverage strategy. Oversee claims handling and escalation for book clients. Mentor junior brokers; conduct advanced policy reviews. Partner cross-functionally on underwriting and compliance matters affecting the book.
