Material Handler - 1st ShiftEaton's AER FED Fluid Electrical Distribution division is currently seeking a Material Handler - 1st Shift to join our team in Torrance, CA!The core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday.The hourly rate for this position is $27.02 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What You'll Do:The Stockroom Material Handler is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that materials are accurately received, stored, and issued to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.In this role, you will:Receive and Inspect Materials: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing lists. Report any discrepancies or damages.Material Storage: Properly label and store materials in designated stockroom locations. Maintain accurate inventory records.Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts and audits. Update inventory management systems to reflect current stock levels.Material Issuance: Pick and deliver materials to production areas as requested. Ensure timely and accurate issuance of materials to support manufacturing schedules.Stockroom Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment. Implement and follow stockroom procedures and best practices.Documentation: Complete and maintain all required documentation, including receiving reports, inventory logs, and material transfer records.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Collaboration: Work closely with production, purchasing, and quality control teams to ensure smooth material flow and address any material-related issues.Shipping/Receiving: Assist shipping in various tasks when needed.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or material handling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
