Job Summary The contract for the Interim Director of College Corps will be for a duration of up to 2 years. This position is categorically funded. Under direction, the College Corps Program Director provides leadership and operational oversight for Monterey Peninsula College's participation in the California College Corps consortium led by California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). The position is housed within MPC's Career Services and Transfer Center and is responsible for implementing program activities that integrate service learning, work-based learning, leadership development, and community engagement aligned with regional workforce development and civic priorities. The College Corps Program Director manages the daily operations of the College Corps Program; coordinates and oversees placement of student Fellows in paid community service positions and facilitates participation of Fellows, host organizations, faculty, and consortium partners in planned local, regional, and state events; works closely with assigned faculty, administrators, and staff to implement planned grant activities and achieve program goals; ensures all Fellows are connected to and utilizing all needed college resources available to support their academic, financial, and professional success during their Fellowship; and ensures program evaluation and reporting. The role collaborates extensively with CSUMB consortium leadership; Hartnell College partners; MPC faculty (Work Experience, Social Science, Counseling, and others), classified professionals, students, and administrators; and community organizations to deliver high-impact service learning experiences addressing K-12 education, food insecurity, climate action, and health equity. Example Of Duties

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. In consultation with the assigned area administrator and in close collaboration with college personnel as well as CSUMB and other consortium members, administers MPC's College Corps program in alignment with grant requirements, consortium policies, and institutional goals. Manages the day-to-day operations of the College Corps Program, related budgets, and assigned staff. Oversees budget development, expenditures, tracking, and reporting in alignment with legal mandates, College Corps and consortium requirements and guidance, and college policies and procedures. Conducts all required fiscal reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant grant expenditure. Ensures program compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, consortium requirements, and college policies and procedures. Develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive student Fellow recruitment, onboarding, and placement strategy to ensure project success, meet program targets, and promote equitable access for underrepresented student populations College Corps Program Director. Collaborate with college partners, including Student Services, Academic Affairs, and other departments, to integrate program pathway initiatives into core operations. Work with college communications and outreach teams to promote program visibility and ensure current, accurate information and communication. In collaboration with college personnel and consortium partners, coordinates and conducts outreach and in-reach through multiple avenues, including, but not limited to, classroom presentations, college events, student organization meetings, and partnership with support programs. Develops, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive host organization recruitment, student Fellow placement, and Fellow payment program in accordance with College Corps procedures, consortium agreements, and MPC policies and procedures. Coordinates and ensures the reporting of Fellowship statistics, as required by the State of California and AmeriCorps. Ensures accurate use of database system(s) and maintenance of College Corps website on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Facilitates, evaluates, and, manages relationships with local host organizations (e.g., non-profit agencies, Chambers of Commerce, educational partners, etc.) to generate the most effective Fellow placements. Participates and facilitates full participation of College Corps Fellows and related individuals and entities in planned regional and state cohort-building activities, conferences, and other such events. Monitors Fellow progress toward service hour completion and use of tracking tools and programs. In collaboration with the appropriate college stakeholders, monitors student progress towards completion of College Corps program requirements and engages in proactive follow up communication with Fellows. Creates and maintains connection to existing student support programs to ensure proactive, sustained wraparound support for Fellows. In close collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators, coordinates facilitation of and participation in orientations, one-to-one and pod meetings, and leadership development programming for student Fellows. Works with college personnel to complete all required data collection and reporting concerning Fellow experience, host organization experience, and community impact. Provides leadership, supervision, evaluation, and professional development for program staff, including classified and management professionals and student employees. Works with financial aid, fiscal services, and other college areas as appropriate to oversee living allowances and educational awards according to College Corps program and grant requirements. Participates in consortium meetings and trainings and coordinates and facilitates team meetings and retreats and continuous improvement planning. Supports alignment with strategic plans and program review College Corps Program Director. Demonstrate an understanding of, sensitivity to and appreciation for, the academic, ethnic, socioeconomic, disability and gender diversity of students and staff attending or working on a community college campus. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two years of experience in career or workforce development or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Desirable Qualifications 2-3 years of experience in program management or community engagement. Experience working within community colleges or higher education. Experience administering state and/or federal grant-funded programs. Academic and/or professional background in education, counseling, public administration, nonprofit management, a social science discipline, workforce development, or related field. Experience with cultural awareness practices such as: demonstrated responsive and trauma-informed practices, particularly as they apply to first-generation, low-income, multilingual communities and historically underserved community college students. Experience working with students in ways that intentionally reaches underrepresented populations, including students with disabilities, foster youth, justice-involved students, and undocumented/DACA students. Experience supporting an instructional program, and support strategies to ensure equitable access and success for all students. Knowledge of: #J-18808-Ljbffr Monterey Peninsula College
