Step into an impactful, short-term opportunity supporting students on the Southeast Texas Coast as a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)! This contract role is ideal for dedicated SLPAs ready to provide support during a critical transition period in the first six weeks of the school year. You’ll be joining a collaborative environment focused on student communication success while direct hires complete their licensure requirements.

Your role will be full-time at 35 hours per week, starting August 10 and continuing through September 25, with placements across one or more campuses in the region. The specific caseload—including age group and precise assignment—will be finalized soon, following a meeting with district leadership.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas SLPA license required
• Completed fingerprint clearance (or ability to obtain quickly)
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the school district
• Passion for fostering positive student outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect speech-language services as guided by supervising SLPs
• Support a diverse student population at assigned campuses
• Document sessions, monitor student progress, and provide feedback to the team
