Locums Cardiothoracic Surgery PA Memphis, TNWhy This Role Ongoing cardiovascular surgery coverage need through end of 2026 High-acuity cardiac surgery environment with strong surgical volume Inpatient role with OR, ICU, and post-op management responsibilities Temporary privileges available for qualified providersAssignment Details Start Date: June 15, 2026 End Date: December 31, 2026 Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call Setting: Inpatient EMR: Cerner In-house call coverage Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per shift Call Ratio: 1:5 Admissions: Approximately 3 per shift Support Staff: - 2 RNs - 1 MA - 1 APPClinical Responsibilities First assist in CABG and open-heart procedures Valve repair and valve replacement cases EVH / vein harvesting with demonstrated independent ability Endoscopic radial artery harvesting Sternotomy closure SFA exposure in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures Chest tube placement Arterial and venous sheath placement Central venous line placement CV ICU and critical care management Pre-operative and post-operative cardiac surgical care Impella managementRequirements Board Certified Physician Assistant ACLS required Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic surgery experience required Independent EVH experience required Strong cardiac OR and ICU background preferred Clean background preferred Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days Temporary privileges available
