Status Full time Location Lipson Cancer Institute, Rochester, NY 14621 Department Radiation Technology Schedule M-F; 7‑3:30, 7:30‑4 & 8‑4:30p On-call: Weekends; approximately once every 7 weeks Attributes Strong attention to detail Compassionate, kind and patient focused Excellent organization, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills Responsibilities Patient Care: Perform simulations under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist; construct immobilization devices and custom shielding; schedule appointments; deliver prescribed doses; take port films; record treatment records. Quality Control & Documentation: Ensure quality control procedures on equipment; maintain daily log sheets; keep necessary records for department statistics. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of 2‑yr. radiation therapist program. Required licensure/certification: NYS Licensure as Radiation Therapist required or NYS permit with license within six months of hire. ARRT certification preferred. Licenses & Certifications RSA - Registered Specialist Assistant - New York State Education Department (NYSED) Physical Requirements Medium work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly; requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
