Yard Specialist

MigWay is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Specialist to support the overall operation of our yard and maintenance department. This individual will play a key role in maintaining organization, moving equipment, and assisting with special projects. The Yard Specialist will work closely with the Director of Maintenance and other team members to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient yard environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily yard operations including organizing trailers, trucks, and other equipment. Safely move and position equipment as directed using yard jockey or other machinery. Support maintenance staff with minor tasks and coordination of equipment readiness. Perform routine yard inspections to ensure equipment is properly staged and secured. Work on assigned special projects such as facility upgrades, trailer inspections, or inventory management. Communicate effectively with the Director of Maintenance to ensure priorities and deadlines are met. Maintain a clean, orderly, and hazard-free work environment. Report any safety hazards, equipment issues, or operational concerns promptly. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience in yard operations or equipment handling preferred. Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required. Ability to operate yard equipment such as forklifts or hostlers (training provided if necessary). Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently with attention to detail and follow-through. Flexibility to assist with a variety of tasks and projects as needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
