Lead Bartender

Job Title : Lead Bartender Reports to : Food and Beverage Managers, Director of Outlets Department : Food and Beverage Thompson San Antonio is seeking an energetic and experienced Lead Bartender to elevate our beverage service and create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily bar operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional customer service in a lively, fast‑paced environment. Your expertise in mixology, food safety, and hospitality will drive the success of our bar team, fostering a welcoming atmosphere where guests feel valued and engaged. Responsibilities Lead the bar team to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to quality standards Manage bar inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels using POS systems Enforce food safety and food handling protocols to maintain compliance with health regulations in a busy nightlife or banquet setting Train and mentor staff on proper serving techniques, POS operations, and customer engagement strategies Coordinate with kitchen or catering teams for special events like banquets or private parties to ensure seamless service delivery Qualifications Proven bartending experience in a high volume or fine dining restaurant or dining facility. Previous hospitality experience preferred Must have a working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor and common drink recipes.
