Position Overview:

Seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and provide efficient, patient-centered care in a clinical setting. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient preparation, clinical procedures, administrative tasks, and daily office operations while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with patients and families with courtesy, professionalism, and respect.
• Bring patients into exam rooms and obtain a brief history of their complaints.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Obtain and document vital signs.
• Assist physicians with examinations and clinical procedures as needed.
• Administer injections as directed.
• Provide patient and family education, counseling, and instruction.

• Perform clerical duties, including:

  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Processing referrals.
  • Coordinating appointments with other physicians and facilities.
  • Completing forms.
  • Answering telephone calls.
  • Processing and mailing correspondence.
• Maintain clean and properly stocked exam rooms.
• Maintain and care for medical instruments and equipment.
• Operate sterilization/autoclave equipment as required.
• Assist with the orientation of new personnel, particularly with clinical and nursing-related procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings and training/in-service programs.
• Assume additional responsibilities as needed in the absence of supervisory personnel.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience – Required.
• High School Diploma – Required.
• Comfortable handling phone calls, patient greetings, administrative processing, mailing, and cleaning duties – Required.
• Must understand and be comfortable with the temporary/contract nature of the position.

Certification Requirements:

• BLS is not required.

Schedule:

• Day Shift
• 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• 4 days per week
• 10 hours per day
• No weekends
• No on-call requirements
