Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician

Job Title Food Safety Quality Assurance Technician (FSQA) Overview Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality at Tyson Foods. This role involves inspecting products and plant systems, documenting results, taking corrective actions, and reporting findings to management. Works a full A Shift and is paid hourly at $22.15 per hour. Responsibilities Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems. Document and calculate results accurately. Take corrective action, including alerting personnel, segregating nonconforming products, and reporting results. Complete Tyson paperwork and support additional assignments as requested. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum 1 year experience in food manufacturing or related quality assurance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem identification, problem‑solving, math, and organizational skills. Ability to read and interpret product specifications. Leadership ability to motivate hourly workforce. Flexibility to work where and when needed, including overtime and weekends. Must reside within the United States; sponsorship not available. Physical Requirements Lifting up to 70 pounds. Stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day. Work in cold/hot and wet environments. Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling. Ability to reach high and low levels and climb step ladders or stairs. Work overtime and weekends as necessary. Hold Lock Out/Tag Out certification. Benefits Paid time off. 401(k) plan.
